TDAC for land border and sea arrivals

Prepare your arrival card

TDAC has applied to non-Thai arrivals by air, land and sea since 1 May 2025. Thai nationals do not need it. The official TDAC is free and is not a visa.

Prepare passport and personal information, travel details, accommodation and the health declaration. Complete the form in English and keep the confirmation and QR code.

Check the entry scheme for your border crossing

Visa-exempt land/sea entries are limited to twice per calendar year, except for Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and Singapore. TAT also specifies a maximum of two land-border entries per calendar year for the 15-day exemption.

Myanmar’s 14-day bilateral exemption applies at international airports only. Confirm repeat-entry plans with Thai immigration; this guide does not establish any additional repeat-entry allowance.

The arrival card and the exemption conditions answer different questions. A completed TDAC records the arrival information; it does not establish that the chosen border route is covered by a nationality’s exemption. Check both before relying on a repeat-entry plan, especially where the guide states a route restriction or an entry limit.

The listed exceptions to the land and sea exemption limit should not be treated as an additional repeat-entry allowance established by this guide. Confirm your itinerary and circumstances with Thai Immigration. For bilateral arrangements whose exact stay length is not fully verified, ask the embassy about that stay length as well.

What to check before you submit

Work through the passport, personal, travel and accommodation information before the final preview. If you use the MRZ scan option, recheck the captured passport details. Full name, nationality and date of birth deserve particular attention because those fields cannot be edited after submission. The FAQ also lists Passport Number as non-editable, although the 2025.05.00 release notes say passport-number editing was enabled. If unsure, submit a new TDAC; the latest submission is valid.

For the health declaration, follow the system prompts for your journey. The guide describes prompts linked to countries visited in the previous 2 weeks, boarding country, nationality or flight when these appear on Ministry of Public Health lists. Prepare the information requested by the official form rather than treating the arrival card as only a passport check.

After previewing and submitting, save or receive the confirmation and keep the QR code available. For another entry, prepare a new TDAC. Keeping an earlier confirmation does not remove the requirement to submit a new arrival card for each entry. The official manual and FAQ linked in Sources explain the process covered by this guide.
