Read the dates in context

A publication date, an effective date and a guide refresh describe different events. The Royal Gazette publication is recorded on 31 August 2026, while the revised entry schemes took effect on 15 September 2026. The Cabinet approval entry records an earlier stage. Read the effective-date entry when deciding which change the guide is describing.

The TDAC entries form a separate timeline. The arrival card became mandatory for non-Thai arrivals by air, land and sea on 1 May 2025. The current release is 2026.10.00, dated 15 October 2026. The notice to complete the card no more than 3 days before arrival was added in release 2025.04.01 on 24 April 2025; release 2026.09.00, dated 17 September 2026, lists only performance and stability improvements. These arrival-card dates do not set a visa-exemption stay length.

The visible last-checked badge now records 23 October 2026, following this source review. A new page or an editorial refresh can have a later publication date without establishing that every source has been rechecked. Frequently asked questions

Does a guide refresh mean the Thailand entry rules changed?

No. A guide refresh updates content or presentation; it does not itself change entry rules. The current source review is dated 23 October 2026. Effective dates, source updates and editorial releases are identified separately in this log.

What happened to Thailand’s 60-day visa exemption?

The 60-day tourism exemption was revoked effective 15 September 2026. The arrangements covered here include 30 days for 60 countries and territories, 15 days for Seychelles and Mauritius, and separate bilateral schemes.

What if I entered Thailand before 15 September 2026?

Travellers already admitted before 15 September 2026 keep the stay stamped in their passport. Check that stamped permission when planning departure or an extension; the newer scheme does not replace the stay already granted.

Dated source timeline

Read the exemption timeline alongside the nationality table before planning a stay. The TDAC software release concerns the arrival-card system; it does not extend a visa or change the stay stamped in a passport. For any extension, apply before that permission ends. The dated source links below let you distinguish an embassy update, a software release and a change to entry schemes.
