Is the TDAC free? How to avoid fake TDAC sites

Find the official free service

  1. Open the official TDAC site

Use tdac.immigration.go.th for the official free TDAC service.

  2. Check what the service says it is

Be careful with unofficial paid sites. The official TDAC is free.

  3. Distinguish the helper from the official service

Martin’s TDAC auto-fill helper is an independent tool that pre-fills the official form; it is not the official site.

TDAC is an arrival card, not a visa. All non-Thai nationals entering Thailand by air, land or sea must submit it before arrival; Thai nationals do not need it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the official TDAC free?

The official TDAC is free at tdac.immigration.go.th. It is an arrival card, not a visa.

Is Martin’s TDAC helper the official site?

No. Martin’s TDAC auto-fill helper is an independent tool that pre-fills the official form. It is not the official site.

When should I submit the official TDAC?

Submit within 3 days before arrival, including arrival day — up to 72 hours before. Keep the confirmation and QR code.

Do I have to use a paid TDAC helper?

No. The official TDAC is free and can be completed directly at tdac.immigration.go.th. The independent helper linked here is optional and pre-fills the official form. You still review the information and submit yourself. Whichever route you use, prepare your passport and trip details and save the confirmation.

Is a TDAC confirmation a visa?

No. The TDAC confirmation relates to the arrival card. Check your nationality, purpose and planned stay separately to identify the entry scheme or visa to verify. The official free arrival-card service and an independent auto-fill helper do not replace checking those entry requirements.

Use the service’s role to understand what you are choosing. The official form is available directly, so an independent helper is optional. This guide identifies the official address and explains our linked helper; it does not verify the identity, terms or service of every other website that uses the name TDAC.

What to check before you submit

Work through the passport, personal, travel and accommodation information before the final preview. If you use the MRZ scan option, recheck the captured passport details. Full name, nationality and date of birth deserve particular attention because those fields cannot be edited after submission. The FAQ also lists Passport Number as non-editable, although the 2025.05.00 release notes say passport-number editing was enabled. If unsure, submit a new TDAC; the latest submission is valid.

For the health declaration, follow the system prompts for your journey. The guide describes prompts linked to countries visited in the previous 2 weeks, boarding country, nationality or flight when these appear on Ministry of Public Health lists. Prepare the information requested by the official form rather than treating the arrival card as only a passport check.

After previewing and submitting, save or receive the confirmation and keep the QR code available. For another entry, prepare a new TDAC. Keeping an earlier confirmation does not remove the requirement to submit a new arrival card for each entry. The official manual and FAQ linked in Sources explain the process covered by this guide.

Recognise the official address before entering details

The official arrival-card address is https://tdac.immigration.go.th/. Read the domain in your browser’s address bar before entering passport information. The official FAQ says there are no fees for TDAC. If you are choosing a service that charges, distinguish that service from the free government arrival card; a charge is not an official TDAC fee.

You can complete the official form directly. It asks for passport details, flight number and arrival date, an address in Thailand, travel purpose, health declaration information and an email address to receive the card. The official FAQ says to complete it in one go because there is no save-and-finish-later option. With information ready, its stated completion estimate is about three to five minutes per person.

A website’s use of the letters “TDAC” does not by itself tell you which service you have opened. Use the official address above as your reference, and read any independent service’s description before choosing it. The official TDAC is free. The /tdac/ service linked on this site is an optional, independent paid helper for people who travel to Thailand often; most one-time visitors don’t need it. The helper pre-fills the official form, and you review and submit it yourself.

If the official form fails

The official FAQ advises keeping a screenshot when the website is unavailable and contacting airport or immigration staff. For a missing QR email, contact the Immigration Officer at the entry checkpoint. Our guide to TDAC errors and fixes explains the FAQ’s troubleshooting steps; the TDAC FAQ guide covers timing, updates and confirmation.
