TDAC Auto-Fill help and troubleshooting

Not the official TDAC website. Asia Tour Desk is an independent helper and is not affiliated with the Thai Immigration Bureau or the Thai government. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card itself is free at the official site tdac.immigration.go.th. Our optional €5 tool only auto-fills that official form for you; you review and submit it yourself.

📱 iPhone/iPad Setup Guide

Initial Setup (One-Time)

  1. Fill Your Profile: Open asiatourdesk.com/tdac on your iPhone/iPad, fill in your travel details, and select "iPhone" as your platform.
  2. Complete Payment: Pay €5 via Stripe. You'll be redirected to the instructions page.
  3. Install Shortcut: Tap "Get iPhone Shortcut" button. This opens a shared iCloud Shortcut template. Tap "Add Shortcut" to install it.
  4. Copy Generated Code: Return to the instructions page and tap "Copy iPhone Script". The generated JavaScript is now in your clipboard.
  5. Edit Shortcut: Open the Shortcuts app, find "TDAC Auto-Fill", tap the ⋯ menu, select "Edit".
  6. Paste Code: Find the "Run JavaScript on Web Page" action (blue box). Tap the empty JavaScript field and paste your code (long-press → Paste).
  7. Done! Tap "Done" to save. The Shortcut is now ready to use.

How to Use

  1. Open TDAC Form: In Safari, navigate to the official TDAC form.
  2. Run Shortcut: Tap the Share button (square with up arrow) at the bottom of Safari. Scroll down and select "TDAC Auto-Fill".
  3. Wait for Auto-Fill: The Shortcut runs, fills all fields across both form sections, and navigates through the steps. This takes ~15-20 seconds. Don't touch the screen.
  4. Review & Submit: Once complete, review the pre-filled data for accuracy, then tap "Submit" manually.
Why Shortcuts? Safari on iOS blocks bookmarklets by design (no javascript: URLs work). Shortcuts provide a secure way to run JavaScript on web pages.

🤖 Android Setup Guide

Initial Setup (One-Time)

  1. Fill Your Profile: Open asiatourdesk.com/tdac in Chrome on Android, fill your details, select "Android".
  2. Complete Payment: Pay €5 via Stripe. You'll see instructions with TWO bookmarklets.
  3. Create First Bookmark:
    • Tap "Copy Step 1 Script" → code copied to clipboard
    • Tap ⋮ (Chrome menu) → Bookmarks → Add bookmark
    • Name: TDAC 1
    • URL: Long-press and select all, then paste the bookmarklet code
    • Tap "Save"
  4. Create Second Bookmark:
    • Tap "Copy Step 2 Script"
    • Repeat step 3, but name it TDAC 2
  5. Done! You now have two bookmarks ready to use.

How to Use

  1. Open TDAC Form: Navigate to the official TDAC form in Chrome.
  2. Run Step 1: Tap the address bar, type TDAC 1. When autocomplete shows ⭐ "TDAC 1", tap it. The bookmarklet runs, fills personal info, and clicks Continue.
  3. Wait for Page 2: The form advances to Travel Info section (~2 seconds).
  4. Run Step 2: Tap address bar again, type TDAC 2, tap the starred result. Page 2 fills, form advances to preview.
  5. Review & Submit: Check all data, then submit manually.
Critical: Bookmarklets ONLY work from address bar autocomplete (type name → tap ⭐ result). They do NOT work from:
  • Bookmarks menu (⋮ → Bookmarks)
  • Bookmark manager
  • Long-press on bookmark
This is a Chrome Android limitation. Always use address bar autocomplete.
Why Two Bookmarklets? Chrome Android limits bookmark URLs to ~2000 characters. The full TDAC script is ~3500 chars, so we split it to stay under the limit.

💻 Desktop Setup Guide

Initial Setup (One-Time)

  1. Fill Your Profile: Open asiatourdesk.com/tdac, fill details, select "Desktop".
  2. Complete Payment: Pay €5 via Stripe. You'll receive a single bookmarklet.
  3. Option A — Bookmark Bar:
    • Right-click bookmark bar → "Add page..."
    • Name: TDAC Auto-Fill
    • URL: Paste the bookmarklet code
    • Save
  4. Option B — Console Method:
    • No bookmark needed
    • Just copy the code (you'll paste it in DevTools console each time)

How to Use

Method A (Bookmark):

  1. Navigate to TDAC form
  2. Click the "TDAC Auto-Fill" bookmark in your bookmark bar
  3. Wait ~10 seconds while script fills all fields and navigates sections
  4. Review data, submit manually

Method B (Console):

  1. Navigate to TDAC form
  2. Open DevTools (F12 or Cmd+Option+I)
  3. Go to Console tab
  4. Paste the bookmarklet code and press Enter
  5. Wait for auto-fill to complete
  6. Review and submit
Desktop bookmarklets work in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and most modern browsers.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Problem: Bookmarklet doesn't run (Android)

Solution:

  • ✅ Did you type the bookmark name in the address bar? (Not bookmarks menu)
  • ✅ Did you tap the starred (⭐) autocomplete result?
  • ✅ Check the bookmark URL starts with javascript:
  • ✅ Re-copy the bookmarklet from instructions page (may have been truncated)
Problem: Fields show validation errors

Solution: Don't touch the form while the script is running! Angular validation triggers as fields are filled. Errors will resolve once the script completes. If errors persist after completion, manually correct those fields.

Problem: Only half the form fills (Android)

Solution: You need to run BOTH bookmarklets:

  1. Run "TDAC 1" on page 1 (personal info)
  2. Wait for page to advance (~2 seconds)
  3. Run "TDAC 2" on page 2 (travel info)

The split is necessary due to Chrome Android's URL length limit.

Problem: iPhone Shortcut says "Not Allowed"

Solution: Check Settings → Shortcuts → Advanced:

  • ✅ "Allow Running Scripts" must be enabled
  • ✅ "Allow Sharing Large Amounts of Data" should be enabled

Also verify Safari has permission to run Shortcuts (Settings → Safari → Extensions).

Problem: Script fills wrong data

Solution: Your profile data may have changed. Return to the form page:

  1. Your data is still in localStorage (it auto-fills)
  2. Update any changed fields (passport, dates, etc.)
  3. Go back to instructions page (don't pay again)
  4. Re-copy the regenerated script
  5. Re-paste into your Shortcut/bookmark
Problem: "Payment verification failed"

Solution:

  • Check your email for Stripe receipt (confirms payment went through)
  • Clear browser cache and cookies, try again
  • If payment succeeded but verification fails, contact support with your Stripe receipt
Problem: Desktop bookmarklet does nothing

Solution:

  • ✅ Verify bookmark URL starts with javascript: (not http:)
  • ✅ Check browser console (F12) for errors
  • ✅ Try the console method: copy bookmarklet → open DevTools → paste in Console → Enter
  • ✅ Some browsers block bookmarklets on HTTPS sites — console method always works

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Is my data safe? Do you store my passport number?

Answer: Your data is 100% safe because we never see it. All personal information (passport, name, travel details) stays in your browser's localStorage. The generated scripts encode your data, but those scripts never leave your device. Our server only handles payment verification — no passport numbers, no names, no travel data.

What if I get a new passport or my details change?

Answer: No problem! Just return to the form page (your old data auto-fills from localStorage), update the changed fields, then go back to instructions and re-copy the script. No additional payment needed — your verification flag persists in localStorage.

Can I use this for multiple travelers (family, friends)?

Answer: Each person needs their own profile. Options:

  • Browser profiles: Use Chrome/Safari profiles (separate localStorage per profile)
  • Incognito mode: Clear localStorage between travelers
  • Different devices: Set up on each person's phone

The €5 payment covers one user profile. If managing multiple profiles on one device, use browser profiles or clear storage between setups.

Does this work on iPad?

Answer: Yes! Follow the iPhone setup instructions. The Shortcuts app works identically on iPad.

What happens if Thailand changes the TDAC form?

Answer: We monitor the official form for changes. If the form structure updates, we'll update our scripts accordingly. Since your profile is stored locally, you can regenerate scripts anytime from the instructions page without repaying.

Why does Android need two bookmarklets?

Answer: Chrome Android enforces a ~2000-character limit on bookmark URLs. The full TDAC script is ~3500 characters, so we split it into two parts (Step 1: Personal Info, Step 2: Travel Info) to stay under the limit. This is a Chrome limitation, not our design choice.

Can I get a refund if it doesn't work?

Answer: Yes. Contact us within 7 days if the tool doesn't work on your device. We'll troubleshoot first (most issues are setup-related and easily fixed), but we offer refunds if the tool fundamentally doesn't work for your situation.

Why not just fill the form manually?

Answer: The TDAC form has 25+ fields across multiple sections with finicky autocomplete dropdowns. Manual entry takes 10-15 minutes and is error-prone. Our tool fills everything accurately in under 20 seconds. For frequent travelers, it pays for itself in time saved.

Is this legal? Is it approved by Thai immigration?

Answer: Using an auto-fill tool on your own data is legal, but this tool is independent and is not endorsed or approved by the Thai Immigration Bureau. We're not bypassing any security measures or submitting forms automatically. The tool simply auto-fills YOUR data into the official form — you still review and submit manually. It's the digital equivalent of copy-pasting from a text file, just automated and more reliable.
